My Plan for Progress

My step-by-step plan is to continue introducing the kind of efficiencies, innovations and budget control outlined in my update report on the home page.
This means, for example, putting even more records on the County Clerk’s
official Web site and making certified personal records and documents available so that copies printed at homes and offices are legally acceptable to
government agencies, courts and businesses.

These convenient online, time-saving services will be expanded later to include more business-related documents. This means:

  • Fewer trips to county offices and less time waiting in line.
  • No more writing letters of request and waiting for documents to arrive by mail.
  • And no more working through phone menus to reach the right person to handle requests.

With my experience in both business and government, I will continue to harness the latest technology and implement other innovations and professional management practices to cut costs and better serve county residents by:

  • Balancing the efficiency and convenience of advancing technology with safeguarding a citizen’s right to privacy.
  • Implementing state-of-the-art security measures to safeguard the County Clerk’s Web site and official electronic files.

These innovations will cut costs, save money and help improve services throughout Tarrant County.
And I sincerely invite your suggestions for improving service and reducing costs. Just let me know through our new feedback system on the Tarrant County Web site: www.tarrantcounty.com/eCountyClerk/site/default.asp
As a longtime public servant, I understand the County Clerk works for you, the taxpayer, and together we can get the right things done.
